August The Mansion

It is so nice to have someplace special to visit in the Metro East without having to go into the city or driving to another suburb. The place cleared out after 8pm so if you’re a late diner don’t hesitate to give them a call. It’s nice without being pretentious. Folks were dressed well but jeans were acceptable. Most folks were celebrating something, just like us. Food isn’t cheap but we’ve paid more at chain places for less quality and the staff were so nice. Emma was our server and she was wonderful. I’d love to learn more about the mansion history and hope this place keeps adding to its story.

This was my wife and I 13 year wedding anniversary, and this was our first time dinning here at The Mansion and it was amazing! Everything from the atmosphere, to the service, to the food was outstanding. The staff made sure we was ok throughout our evening. This cherry on top was the desert it was a cookie ice-cream sandwich but it was like a ginger bread snickers doodle cookie and it was amazing. Don't get me wrong the steak dinner and Italian pasta my wife had was amazing as well. If you are looking for a nice fancy restaurant definitely check them out you will not be disappointed. They just earned themselves some returning customers.

We had a large party of 14 people and the team went above and beyond to help us celebrate our family get together. The atmosphere of the mansion inside and out was wonderful. We had a private room that fit all of us perfectly. Judi and Mitchell were even kind enough to take pictures for us so every one could be together in one photo and decorated the room with gorgeous flowers. Dinner was amazing and the appetizers were delicious and unique. We had a wonderful time and really appreciate the attentiveness of all of the staff. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make this special occasion so memorable.

Our party of four had lunch at August the Mansion this afternoon. We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant, and all of the staff were outstanding to our group. We were greeted at the front door and taken to our table. Our server was super sweet and very patient. She had a great personality and was helpful in explaining some of the menu items and giving recommendations. The food was awesome! We each ordered something different and everyone was happy with their selection. They were so accommodating when we asked about the dessert selection and were told they do not have this at lunch. Our server then came back to the table and said she asked and they could provide a dessert. We were thrilled and took her up on the offer, and the dessert was delicious. They were very crowded, but they did not rush us and were just so kind from the minute we walked in the door to when we left about 2 hours later. Thank You for the Great experience!

Easily one of the most consistently impressive restaurants I’ve visited. I have been here numerous times and have never had a bad experience, which says a lot about the level of quality they maintain. The food is always immaculate. Every dish comes out beautifully presented and full of flavor, and you can tell real attention goes into both the ingredients and execution. It is the kind of place where you order with confidence because you know it is going to be excellent every time. The staff deserves just as much credit. Service is always on point, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. They create an atmosphere that feels polished but still comfortable, which is not easy to do! Highly recommend!!

This place was absolutely fantastic. We tried a variety of entrees and appetizers and every item was delicious. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts, the pork chop, and the bread pudding, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Kudos to the staff who were also fantastic. Keep up the great work!

Samantha took care of us today and it was absolutely delightful. My wife and I came in around 12 for lunch and we had been trying to find a new regular place to go for awhile and this is for sure our new spot. Samantha was extremely attentive and caring and did an excellent job explaining the specials, drinks, and left us with a laugh. The food was incredible we got a turkey Brie sandwich and a harvest salad that we split and it was so delicious. This is a place I can’t recommend enough. Can’t wait to come back:)

My first visit to August the Mansion was in September 2025 for a special dinner and book discussion event co-hosted by the restaurant and Belleville Books.  It was a beautiful evening.  Executive Chef Jessica Hickman crafter a 4-course French-inspired dinner to pair perfectly with the book discussion presented by local author Joan Fernandez and Belleville Books owner Rob Eckman.  To my knowledge, this was the first event of its kind at August the Mansion and it was such a success they co-hosted a second event like it, only bigger, the following month.  I attended both and was dazzled both evenings.  Renee, Judy, Mitch, and Alejandro ensured smooth evenings with their professional and kind service.  Both dinners were some of the best I've had, highest praise to Jessica and her team!  The portions were massive.  I was full after the second course, but kept going and had to unbutton my pants.  I'm very much looking forward to future events like these. The space is beautiful and one-of-a-kind on this side of the river.  It's handicap accessible as well, which is not always guaranteed in historic buildings.
